Thanks for a Great Year!

Thank you for attending Anime Fusion 2023: This Con Goes to 11! We had a fantastic time celebrating music in anime, gaming, and Asian culture with you. By the end of the weekend, we had issued an amazing 1,794 passes! We thank you for your patience as we navigated the challenges of a 30% attendance bump (!!!) and hope you had a great weekend!

Our feedback form is open for you to send us your comments on the 2023 convention. We always read all the feedback submitted to us and take it under consideration at our “post-mortem” feedback meeting and while making plans for the next year’s event. Anime Fusion is for you. We host this event for the benefit of our community, and we’re committed to doing our best to make it the kind of event our attendees want to see.

You can submit the feedback form here: https://www.animefusion.net/convention-feedback-form/

Of course, the best way to help Anime Fusion improve is to join our staff and make it happen! Anime Fusion is a 100% volunteer-run event, organized by anime fans right here in the Twin Cities community. With our attendance going up, we need your help more than ever! There are plenty of different roles on the Anime Fusion team for all interests, skill sets, and strengths. Contact us at af_vol@animefusion.net for more information, or meet with us in person at our post-mortem meeting, which is open to the public. It will be held Sunday, November 12th at the Crowne Plaza, starting at 1:00 PM.

That being said, it’s time to start looking forward to next year! After five years as Convention Chair (six if you count 2020’s virtual convention), I am handing over the role to my 2023 co-chair, Damarra Atkins. Damarra has been volunteering at fandom events as long as I have, and has extensive experience with organizing conventions, including serving as Anime Fusion’s lead hotel liaison for the past several years. Anime Fusion 2023 would not have been successful without Damarra’s help as my co-chair, and I have full confidence in their ability to lead the convention into an even brighter future.

Before I sign off, I’d like to again thank all the staff, guests, partner groups, volunteers, sponsors, and anyone else who gave their time or resources to make the 2023 convention a great experience. It takes a lot to keep our little science lab bubbling, and this event we know and love could not happen without your contributions. And of course, none of us would be here without our wonderful attendees! Thanks again for all of your support, and I look forward to seeing you (from a different role ^_~) at Anime Fusion 2024!
