Harassment Policy

Quad Cities Anime, and Anime Fusion, are committed to offering an experience as free from harassment as we can make it for our members regardless of characteristics such as gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, race, religion, nationality, or social class. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. Violators of these rules or other QCA policies may not be permitted to attend our events, including the Anime Fusion convention, and may be sanctioned or expelled from said events without a refund at the discretion of our organization.

Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments related to such characteristics as listed above, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, unwelcome photography or recording, sustained disruption of panels or other events, inappropriate physical contact, threats of physical violence, unwelcome emails or social media content, and unwelcome attention. Certain clothing, text on clothing, signs, or behaviors that could be considered hate speech may also constitute harassment even if not directed toward a specific individual. Event attendees asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If an individual engages in harassing behavior, our organization may take any lawful action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to warning the offender or expelling them from our events or convention with no refund. If you are being harassed at one of our events, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have similar concerns, please contact a staff member immediately.

If an incident occurs at one of our events, staff will help attendees contact hotel security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel less unsafe for the duration of the event. We value your presence.
