With being a dedicated member of con staff, you’ll be more involved in making it all happen; you get to be an integral part of bringing this event to life for all of the attendees we have each year, and creating something special to entice community members that haven’t met us yet.
You’ll help to ensure smooth operation throughout the planning cycle, achieving annual goals, and contributing to a more pleasant staff experience for all.
The perks are better too: Staff get a complimentary badge, a higher discount on their hotel room, participation in staff-only activities during the year (and discounts on our public ones), 50% of their shirt or lab coat order covered, and access to a Staff Lounge for snacks and rejuvenation. You also get an invite to our Sunday post-con party celebrating another successful year of Fusion!
We have urgent, critical needs on our Engineering (sound/light/video management and running our main stage), Guest Relations (handling our Guests of Honor), Merch (con-specific product sales), Volunteers (onboarding new staff and coordinating at-con help), Partnership (coordinating with those that support or partner with our con), and Con Fuel teams (our free snack-and-refreshments room).
We have openings needing to be filled on other teams as well, so let Volunteers know if you have something in mind or are open to possibilities.
